By providing expert support to all parties throughout your biodiversity net gain planning process, including funders and planning officers, we will enable you to deliver the robust and reliable ecological outcomes that your planning officer will accept.
Our process typically begins by reserving your required Biodiversity Units before planning. We then provide structured support throughout the planning process, demonstrating how our Biodiversity Units will satisfy your biodiversity requirements.
Once your planning application is approved and free from challenge, you can draw down your Biodiversity Units and discharge your relevant planning conditions. Should your development not go ahead, we can purchase the Biodiversity Units back or apply them to an alternative development.
Our support with planning and consultancy includes:
- Master-planning and contributing towards your overall BNG strategy
- Establishing your ‘on-site’ and ‘off-site’ mix of Biodiversity Unit delivery
- Verifying the application of ‘trading rules’ set by Defra*
*Where certain habitats may only be offset by equal or higher distinctiveness habitats.
