Land Manager

About Environment Bank

We have created a new plan for the planet. With our multi award-winning Habitat Banks, we are trailblazing a new path to restore and protect biodiversity by revolutionising how the commercial and natural worlds interact. We are making immense progress at pace and are currently looking for two Land Managers to join our incredible team. One in East Anglia and one in the North East.

  • Oversight of all initial due diligence to assess site suitability as a Habitat Bank. This will involve liaising with internal teams such as ecology, project delivery, legal and finance to prepare initial site reviews and offer recommendation packs.
  • Preparing data to support the targeted creation of Habitat Banks including but not limited to reviewing local plan policies, agri-environment scheme information and market sector reports.
  • Ensuring the landowner process goes smoothly and ensuring contractual terms are effectively communicated, working closely with head of Land and Land Co-ordinator.
  • Attending regional and national marketing events to promote Habitat Bank creation to farmers and landowners.
  • Supporting work with Local Authorities regarding our approach and the sale process of BNG Credits.

Qualifications and skills preferred:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with farmers and landowners in a professional capacity
  • Preferably a working knowledge of Farm Business Tenancies and environmental matters relevant to rural land management

  • The role will be based from home with regional site visits to meet with landowners as well as attendance at events.
  • Full UK clean Driving Licence.
  • To be numerate and computer literate and possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PPT and particularly Excel.
